tempesta was founded by Carlo Cresto-Dina in 2009, after years spent producing films under the umbrella of major production houses in Italy and London. tempesta has produced all of Alice Rohrwacher's feature films (Corpo Celeste, Quinzaine des Realisateurs Cannes 2010, The Wonders, Jury Grand Prix Cannes 2014, Happy as Lazzaro, Best Script Cannes 2018, La Chimera, Cannes 2023 International Competition), as well as the short films De Djess (Prada Women's Tales 2015) and Le Pupille (Disney 2022 nominated for an Oscar in 2023). tempesta has also produced all the feature films of Leonardo Di Costanzo The Interval (Venezia 2012), The intruder (Quinzaine des Realisateurs Cannes 2017), and The inner cage (Venezia 2021). In addition to these, tempesta has produced numerous films by young European authors like Chiara Bellosi, Margherita Vicario, Irene Dionisio, selected and awarded at the most important international festivals. TV projects include Love Club (Amazon 2023) and Studio Battaglia, an adaptation of the BBC series The Split for RAI.
